Clubhouse Ohio works to establish and enhance accredited Clubhouses across the state of Ohio.

What is a Clubhouse?

A Clubhouse International Standards-based Clubhouse is an empowering, supportive community, intentionally and socially designed to facilitate recovery through engagement in the meaningful, collaborative work of operating a physical space, a Clubhouse, a place to be together. This fosters the development of genuine relationships, builds confidence and self-worth, and ultimately taps into a universal “need to be needed” that transcends mental illness.

What is Clubhouse Ohio?

The Clubhouse Ohio coalition, a program of Magnolia Clubhouse, provides leadership and technical assistance to all existing and aspiring accredited Clubhouses. Our mission is to expand and support the growth of the Clubhouse Model throughout the state.

What We Provide:

Education & Advocacy: Promoting the understanding of the Clubhouse Model and its impact on mental health recovery across Ohio.
Expansion Support: Driving the development and growth of all Clubhouse communities.
Technical Assistance: Guiding interested groups through an exploration of the model, including experiential orientations at existing accredited Ohio Clubhouses.
Individualized Coaching: Providing tailored support and strategic guidance for each unique group.
Start-up Readiness: Utilizing comprehensive readiness assessments to help groups apply for funding and launch their operations.
Global Connections: Linking groups to Clubhouse International resources, including New Clubhouse Development and two-week Colleague Training.
Path to Accreditation: Supporting developing Clubhouses with strategic implementation plans designed to achieve Clubhouse International accreditation.

“Participation is voluntary, but each member is always invited to participate in work which includes clerical duties, reception, food service, transportation management… and much more."

Members globally gain access to Transitional Employment Opportunities, educational resources.
